Summary: In her podcast, Thea talks about Irene Nielsen, from whom she has gotten four patterns, including "Indira Bonnet" which she plans to knit for her cousin's upcoming baby. Irene is trained as a fashion designer and learned to knit from her grandmother at age six - a combination that gives her thoroughly developed patterns. She started as a knitwear designer in 2023 and now has 16 designs on Ravelry, as well as a webshop and Instagram profile. Thea describes Irene's patterns, mainly accessories and children's designs, as feminine without being overly "cutesy," including the bow pattern "Noelia Bow".

Summary: Irene Nielsen, a Danish knitwear designer based in Italy, talks in this podcast interview about her journey into knitting: she learned to knit from her grandmother at age six, but only started as a knitwear designer in 2023 with the pattern "Augusta Ruffle Top Mini." She's known for simple, feminine designs, often in moss stitch with a crocheted scalloped edge, which are always test knitted and technically edited. She publishes in Danish and English, and is currently working on gauge swatches for her course on knitting gauge and fit.
