Stine Scrunchie is created with the aim of donating the profit of the sales to research within the area of breat cancer in Italy, where I live*.
Because, just like many other families, my family is unfortunately included in the all too common statistics:
Three women on my mother's side of the family have had breast cancer: One survived, one died with it, and one died from it because it spread to the rest of the body. The latter was my cousin Stine who died at the age of 42. This scrunchie bears her name.
Stine Scrunchie is worked in the round in broken rib and is finished off with a crochet scalloped edge. The scrunchie makes use of Judy's Magic Cast-On, which will make it easy to bind off in the end.
